Iain Stewart

Practice and professional experience

Iain handles all aspects of trade mark work, including trade mark clearance searches, infringement opinions, and the filing and prosecution of applications, oppositions and cancellation actions. He has wide experience in the negotiation of settlements and co-existence agreements.

Beyond trade marks, Iain has an interest in the protection of industrial designs in the UK and European Community. He maintains an excellent success record in domain name disputes before Nominet and WIPO, and has handled a number of high-profile cases.

His clients range from SMEs through to blue-chip multinational corporations, which are involved in all manner of business activities.

Iain has been ranked in the top tier of UK individuals for ‘prosecution and strategy’ in The World Trade Mark Review's WTR 1000 for the past five years running and has received a number of recommendations:
