Practice and professional experience

Jeremy joined Kilburn & Strode in 2007. Jeremy’s experience includes the drafting and prosecution of applications at the European Patent Office and the UK Intellectual Property Office. He has considerable experience of oppositions and appeals at the European Patent Office, including a successful opposition of patent claims that had previously been upheld as valid by the Court of Appeal in England (involving the same prior art). He works directly with a variety of clients from start-ups to large corporations across a broad range of technical fields. He has co-ordinated a worldwide patent filing strategy in the smart card field covering over 90 countries, and his patent advice has helped an SME client to achieve success on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den programme for entrepreneurs seeking investment capital.
