Kilburn & Strode opens in The Hague

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve opened a new office in The Hague, where the European Patent Office (EPO) has its second-largest presence, after Munich. Together with our offices in London and Munich, we believe our new space in The Hague makes us the only leading firm of European patent and trade mark attorneys with a presence in each of these three European centres of IP.

Two years ago marked the opening of our office in Munich, a short walk from the EPO buildings on Bayerstrasse. Having a modern, comfortable and productive space for our clients and our attorneys to meet and prepare for hearings at the EPO has worked very well.

Following our success in Munich, we’ve now launched something similar in The Hague. We have taken space within a newly-refurbished building in the centre of town, just a short trip to the EPO building in Rijsvijk.

Richard Howson, Managing Partner, comments on the opening: ‘Our presence in Munich has proved very popular with our clients and attorneys. Like Munich, opening in The Hague is client-led. It’s the logical next step as we look for new ways to do even better for our clients. It also sets us apart as the only top firm with a presence in all three cities.’

Chairman Gwilym Roberts adds: ‘I’m delighted to see this further expansion by the firm. We know that our position as European patent attorneys is unaffected by Brexit. Even so, it’s doubly reassuring for our clients to know that we’re so committed to being a European firm.’
