Lorraine is dual qualified as a registered trade mark attorney, and a solicitor specialising in intellectual property law. Lorraine joined Kilburn & Strode in September 2016. 

Lorraine has experience in contentious UK, EU and international intellectual property law across a broad range of industry sectors including the Automotive, Beauty and Cosmetics, Broadcasting, Fashion, Food and Drink, Pharmaceuticals, Publishing, Retail, and Telecoms sectors.

Lorraine has created and managed cross-jurisdictional IP enforcement and exploitation programs for major brand owners. In this capacity, Lorraine directed project teams that included local lawyers, investigators, government officials such as customs, police, trading standards, and clients’ licensees and distributors. She has been involved in high profile UK litigation including for a British public service broadcaster in copyright infringement actions. Lorraine has also successfully defended a global consumer product company in an Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) complaint in relation the allegedly misleading nature of their television advertising for a well-known house hold product. 

Before joining Kilburn & Strode Lorraine most recently worked as a Professional Support Lawyer in the International IP Group of a major global law firm where she kept the Group current in UK/EU/International IP developments, managed the Group’s know-how resources, and created and delivered training both internally and to clients.

Lorraine is a dual national (Maltese and British) and speaks Maltese (Arabic based language), Italian and has a working knowledge of French. Lorraine is also entitled to practice as a solicitor in Ireland and Malta.

Lorraine works as part of our integrated European team and splits her time between our London and Hilversum offices.
