Alex Nim

Trainee Patent Attorney

Alex graduated from the University of Oxford in 2016 with a first class Masters degree in Physics.

Throughout his degree, Alex studied a variety of applied subjects from the physics of MRI scanners to nuclear reactors. His final year focused on the study of condensed matter physics and quantum field theory. This also included a Masters project that involved programming source code in order to analyse the properties of low dimensional magnetic systems through methods of statistical mechanics.

After his academic studies, Alex spent 7 months in Russia, working as a teacher and then 5 months travelling the world. During his time in Russiahe developed a great interest in the Russian language and learnt this to an intermediate level. In addition to English and Russian, Alex also speaks Cantonese Chinese.

Alex joined Kilburn & Strode in October 2017 and is currently training to qualify as a European and UK patent attorney in the Electronics and IT group.
