Charlotte graduated from the University of Leeds in 2021 with a first class Masters degree in Medical Engineering, with a study abroad year at the University of Michigan. Charlotte specialised in medical devices at university, completing several projects developing them, including a novel solution for paediatric supracondylar fracture of the distal humerus fixation device and an electrooculography device that determined if a patient was in REM sleep.
Her Masters research project used finite element analysis software to assess the effect of hydration on the performance of a peptide:glycosaminoglycan hydrogel used in a new treatment for intervertebral disc degeneration.
Charlotte started as a trainee patent attorney at Kilburn & Strode in October 2021, focussing on Mechanical and Medical Engineering.
