Eleanor graduated from the University of Exeter in 2021 with first class honours in Physics (BSc). Her final year project focussed on quantum computing, creating and testing error mitigation strategies to improve the accuracy of algorithm outputs. She was awarded a Dean’s Commendation for excellent academic performance, and the Physics Prize for graduating in the top three of her cohort. During her final year Eleanor also worked on a research project with the Met Office, developing software to determine local wind velocities via visual tracking of landing aircraft.
Alongside her studies Eleanor volunteered with a local science outreach startup, writing a series of popular science articles.
Eleanor joined Kilburn & Strode in October 2021 and is currently training to become a European and UK patent attorney in the Tech group.
