Josh McLennon

Trainee Patent Attorney

Josh graduated from the University of Leeds with a first class Masters and Batchelors degree in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering. His Batchelors project investigated the engineering gender gap, and his Masters project explored the benefits of morphing wing technology in an aircraft application.
Throughout his time at university, Josh worked at an award-winning London start-up where he drove a wide variety of projects relating to factory automation, storage optimisation, distribution and packaging. Over one million units of a flat-pack box he invented have been produced and enjoyed by its customers to date.
Also whilst at the University of Leeds, Josh studied for one year at Western University in Ontario, Canada. Studying philosophy and French there ignited his passion for writing, and a series of courses detailing the relationship between leadership, engineering, and innovation set the scene for his future career in the IP industry.
Josh joined Kilburn & Strode in September 2019 as a Trainee Patent Attorney in the Engineering Group and is training to become a European and Chartered UK patent attorney.
