Juliet Hibbert

Senior Associate

Juliet advises clients on all aspects of patent protection, including drafting new applications, freedom to operate searches, infringement opinions, and the filing and prosecution of patent applications, oppositions and revocation actions. Juliet has an interest in a broad range of fields, including mobile telecommunications (GSM, 3G, LTE), data transmission systems, video and image processing, speech recognition and other software systems and has broad experience of UK, EPO and worldwide patent application processes.  
 

As well as drafting and prosecution, Juliet has appeared before the European Patent Office in opposition proceedings and carried out infringement and validity assessments, in particular to support licence negotiations. She has extensive experience in preparing and considering claim charts in relation to Standard Essential Patents (SEPs).
 

Her clients are from a wide variety of sectors and range from private individuals, to SMEs through to blue-chip multinational corporations. She has also worked in-house for blue-chip multinational telecommunications corporations.
 

As part of Kilburn and Strode’s commitment to social and corporate responsibility, Juliet is a STEM Ambassador and works with schools in and around Hereford to promote STEM subjects and inspire young learners.
