Mabel Lew

Trainee Patent Attorney

Mabel gained a Master of Engineering degree in Material Science and Engineering from Imperial College London, where she also received the Charles Salter Prize for her Masters dissertation. She went on to obtain a Doctorate of Philosophy in Materials Research from Imperial College London. Much of her research involved the fabrication and characterisation of layered perovskite and Ruddlesden-Popper lanthanide oxide nanostructures for use in intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells. Mabel also completed the Imperial MIT Global Fellowships Programme.
 
Mabel has interned in the oil and gas industry, applying corrosion prediction models and fitness-for-purpose models to assess the lifetime of subsea pipelines.
