At both the University of Southampton and BPP University, Martina elected for the optional Intellectual Property Law modules in order to deepen her knowledge on the subject area. Along with her dissertation discussing amendments to the Trade Marks Act, Martina achieved firsts across these modules. During her studies, she also took part in an Intellectual Property Internship at an IP firm based in Croydon.

After her studies, Martina worked as a Trade Mark Paralegal at two London-based IP firms, gaining experience working for both local start-ups and multinational corporations specialised in a wide-range of business fields, and assisting clients in the filing, protection and enforcement of their trade mark portfolios. This included drafting specifications, responding to examination reports and drafting letters to the other side regarding oppositions.

Martina joined Kilburn & Strode in October 2022 as a Trainee Trade Mark Attorney and will work alongside her colleagues at Kilburn & Strode to offer IP protection to clients.

Originally from Sorrento in Italy, Martina is able to communicate in Italian to clients.

In her free time, Martina enjoys travelling, reading and exploring new restaurants.
