Sam Auty

Trainee Patent Attorney

Sam joined Kilburn & Strode in June 2017 as a Technical Assistant in the Chemistry and Life Sciences group, and is training to become a UK and European Patent Attorney.

Prior to joining Kilburn & Strode, Sam worked at another long-established firm and specialised in the drafting and prosecution of patents in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Sam has a background in Chemistry and graduated with a first class MChem degree from the University of Liverpool in 2010.  Sam then undertook a PhD in Chemistry at The University of Liverpool, and developed a new synthetic toolbox for Nanoscale Drug Delivery Systems and their application to HIV/AIDS treatment.
