Stephen Solomon

Trainee Patent Attorney

Stephen joined Kilburn & Strode in November 2016 as a Technical Assistant and is currently training to become a patent attorney in the Life Sciences and Chemistry group.

Stephen graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from Heriot-WattUniversity, Edinburgh, in 2011 and went on to complete an MSc in Clinical Drug Development from Queen Mary University of London, in 2012 and the LLM in Intellectual Property from Bournemouth University in 2014.

Prior to joining Kilburn & Strode, he was the Group Patent Manager for a multinational cosmetics company, responsible for the ongoing management and enforcement of the global patent portfolio. In addition to his core duties, Stephen was also heavily involved with the prosecution and enforcement of the company’s other IP assets, such as trade marks, design rights, trade secrets and other commercial matters in the UK and abroad, which has provided him with an acute awareness of the practical and commercial requirements of in-house IP counsel.
