Wouter Mooij

Trainee Patent Attorney

Wouter joined Kilburn & Strode as a trainee patent attorney in September 2017 in the Life Sciences and Chemistry group.
Wouter graduated with a MSc degree cum laude in medicinal chemistry from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. During his PhD at Imperial College London, he worked towards target identification of antifungal agents. Specifically, he used proteome profiling approaches to study interactions between these antifungal agents and metabolising enzymes in fungi. He also worked on the total synthesis of a natural product, cordigol.
Besides his fluency in English, Wouter is a native Dutch speaker.
