Jonathan is a Partner in the Tech Group at Kilburn & Strode. He spent 6 years in the electronic engineering industry before joining the patent profession, working on many projects encompassing embedded hardware and software, energy meters and latterly specialising in mobile phone OS drivers and related hardware.
He works on a range of subject matter including computer networks and related software as well as electrical/electronic systems, mechanical, aeronautical, and consumer goods.
He takes a particular interest in the display technology field, and heads-up the team working for two large Korean companies, and regularly travels to South Korea.
More recently, Jonathan regularly works in the AI/ML field, in particular, in the mobile device software/OS sector, and digital media streaming/distribution, running the team for a well-known online streaming platform.
Jonathan enjoys drafting patent applications, and takes a particular interest in aiding clients with pre-filing reviews to tailor applications for European examination at an early stage, and prosecuting applications worldwide in line with commercial objectives for large corporations as well as EPO opposition and appeals work.
