Kathryn is a UK and European patent attorney working within our Life Sciences and Chemistry group. Kathryn joined Kilburn & Strode in 2023 having previously trained at another leading firm of patent attorneys.  
 
She has experience working with a wide variety of chemical subject-matter, including inventions relating to agricultural products, batteries, dyes and pigments, fuel additives, paints and coatings, pharmaceutical formulations and surfactants.
 
Kathryn has worked on prosecution of patent applications in a number of jurisdictions, often helping to manage large patent portfolios. She has also assisted on several oppositions and appeals before the EPO and has been involved with opinion work.
 
Kathryn has a first class degree in Chemistry from University College London and a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, where she worked within a large multi-disciplinary team to develop new methods for identifying functional materials.
