On 16 January 2019, Theresa May’s Brexit deal saw a historic defeat, and what happens next remains uncertain. But, no matter the outcome, we can advise on your intellectual property. 

Patents
Brexit has no impact on obtaining European Patents at the EPO and nationally in Europe. Current patent matters at the CJEU will fall under any transitional provisions for Brexit, which, as drafted so far, will maintain the current position.

Trade Marks
It would be wise to consider pre-emptive measures on EUTMs.
