Anne-Marie is a seasoned European patent attorney who advises UK and international companies on complex matters, developing and executing strategies that empower each of her clients to secure a patent position aligned with their commercial goals.
With a master’s degree in Chemistry from Oxford, Anne-Marie now works on a number of technologies in the chemical field, with a particular emphasis on pharmaceuticals. In her years as a patent attorney Anne-Marie has handled sophisticated portfolios relating to drug delivery platforms, small molecule pharmaceuticals, medical uses, and medical devices. Anne-Marie also brings experience in consumer products (such as cosmetics) and materials (such as textiles).
She loves to provide focused commercial advice to assist with business objectives, particularly when it comes to contentious oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office. She takes a close interest in how the landscape of European patent litigation is evolving following the introduction of the UPC, and has led webinars on this topic at the University of Strasbourg. She enjoys assisting clients on IP strategy, clearance and due diligence. She goes above and beyond to get to know clients well, asking the right questions to deliver the best possible insights and service.
Anne-Marie is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the world and the workplace. She has been involved in a number of relevant initiatives throughout her career, particularly as a member of local and global Women in IP networks (e.g. at the Intellectual Property Owners Association and via IP Inclusive).
Outside of work Anne-Marie enjoys road cycling, travelling, trying new recipes in her pizza oven, discovering new books and podcasts - and most of all, inviting friends round for kitchen suppers.
