Barbara’s technical focus is in two primary fields: medical technologies and robotics. In the MedTech space, she has particular experience working in the fields of surgical devices, delivery and dosing devices, diagnostic and testing apparatuses and patient monitoring systems. Her work in the field of robotics ranges from robotically assisted micro-surgery to large-scale fulfilment and production technologies. Alongside these specialities, her technical background in physics and her rapport with inventors make her an exceptional generalist capable of handling a wide range of technologies, including green technologies, semiconductors and software.
 
Focused on keeping the big-picture in mind, Barbara confidently assists clients navigating the IP landscape with a close eye on both risk and opportunity. She regularly advises on risk mitigation activities such as competitor surveillance and freedom-to-operate, freedom-of-action and due diligence analyses, as well as on early- and late-stage M&A opportunity assessment.
