Prior to becoming a trainee trade mark attorney, Lisa began her career as a paralegal and has many years’ experience in the world of IP. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in IP and has extensive experience in enforcement, anticounterfeiting, due diligence, filing strategy, prosecution, portfolio management and complex recordals.   
 
Representing a diverse range of clients, Lisa has worked across many business sectors, with particular expertise in food & drink, entertainment, fashion, beauty and pharmaceuticals.   
 
Having spent time working in-house, Lisa has real life, practical understanding of what clients need and want.  She appreciates the importance of delivering commercial solutions which are not only tailored to the scenario in question, but which also take into account the wider business strategy.
 
Lisa is a long-term active member of various CITMA working groups and also sits on CITMA’s Paralegal Committee. She played an integral role in the creation of CITMA’s Online Foundation Courses and the CITMA Paralegal Competency Standards. She has also lectured on the highly regarded CITMA Paralegal Course and continues to contribute to the same.    
 
Outside work, Lisa enjoys reading, horse riding, upcycling furniture and Pilates.
