He also qualified as a Trade Marks Attorney in Australia. This broad set of credentials allows Simon to advise on complex, multi-jurisdictional intellectual property strategies with clarity and confidence.
 
Simon has a diverse technical background, encompassing programming and mechatronics, alongside a strong understanding and interest in business and finance. This unique blend of experience enables him to put intellectual property into its proper commercial context, helping clients protect their innovations and achieve their commercial goals.
 
He specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications across a wide range of technologies, and takes a pragmatic approach to IP, tailoring protection to align with each client’s commercial goals and long-term vision.

While practising in Australia, Simon served as the primary contact for clients and Australian attorneys on Unitary Patent (UP) and Unified Patent Court (UPC) matters. He continues to develop and expand his expertise in this area as part of Kilburn & Strode's UPC advisory team.

In his spare time, Simon enjoys working out, walking, and taking part in a variety of sports.
