We all get a bit down, stressed or anxious from time to time – but how do you know when it’s time to get help?

The NHS have a mood self-assessment quiz that can help you think about whether your low mood, stress or anxiety is at a point where you would benefit from a chat with your GP. I’ve found this to be a very useful tool both personally and in relation to other family members. It’s just 18 quick questions and takes about 5 minutes.

Of course, your GP will always be able to assist, whatever the results of the quiz. You can also speak to one of your mental health first aiders who will be able to point you in the direction of other support and resources that are available to you, such as our employee assistance programme Health Assured (Username: Kilburn, Password: Strode)
