Rowena’s hire strengthens the firm’s leading European trade mark practice
As one of MIP’s “Top 250 Women in IP” and with a wealth of experience across a wide range of sectors, Rowena will be a cornerstone of Kilburn & Strode’s impressive trade mark practice.
Bringing deep private practice experience as a partner at another London-based firm, she has frequently been recognised externally for her commercially-focused advice, tenacity and relationship building skills.
Rowena specialises in helping UK-based businesses protect their brands at home and abroad, as well as US and EU multinationals, for whom the UK market is key – including multijurisdictional clearance work, prosecution, oppositions and cancellations, infringement, dispute resolution, dealing with investors and portfolio management.
She is adept at working with clients of all sizes and across all sectors, but has particular expertise in the fields of:
-
Food & Drink – large manufacturers, niche brands, retailers and hospitality
-
Financial services – fintech, transactions and accountancy
-
Leisure – international sports brands, boutique clothing and toys/playthings
She will work alongside partners Carrollanne Lindley, Iain Stewart, Claudia Festen, and Ryan Pixton in London and the Netherlands.
Rowena’s hire builds on the momentum of the recent joining of “trade mark rock star” and “go-to EU resource” Jeffrey Parker, and Dutch hire and Netherlands-based Ingrid Roeterink. It further cements Kilburn & Strode as an exciting and strategic force in the profession.
Rowena is a fantastic, commercially-minded attorney. She will be a great asset to the trade mark team and brings immediate value and a personal touch to our clients.” - Iain Stewart, Trade Marks Partner
