Kilburn & Strode uphold Band 1 ranking in Chambers and Partners

We are delighted to announce our Band 1 ranking for Intellectual Property in the Chambers and Partners 2020: Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys UK-wide. The report states that we are a ‘leading destination for filing, portfolio management and rights strategy.’

The report mentions Kilburn & Strode’s ‘deep and varied expertise in electronics, life sciences, mechanical engineering and trade marks’ and ‘powerful UK and EU oppositions practice.’ Chambers also mentions our ‘assistance with SPC applications, infringement litigation and licence agreements.’

A client states ‘It is a joy working with them because they understand what a small science-based business needs and how to identify what has and hasn't been filed yet.’

Another has described Kilburn & Strode as ‘a dynamic team which has represented us successfully.’

The publication has recommended partners in both our patents and trade marks teams – namely Carrollanne Lindley, Gwilym Roberts and Kristina Cornish.

The publication states:

Trade marks lead Carrollanne ‘specialises in trade mark prosecution, commercialisation and dispute resolution.’

Chairman and Professor Gwilym Roberts ‘advises primarily on electronic engineering and physics patents, and is frequently instructed to take over troubled registry cases on appeal.’

Life Sciences and Chemistry lead Kristina Cornish ‘is a leading patent attorney with a concentration on pharmaceuticals and life sciences, and is much sought after for EPO proceedings and litigation support before the courts. Sources say she has an "excellent manner with clients" and is "a very good analytical thinker."’

We are thrilled with our inclusion and are grateful to Chambers and Partners for their independent research and publication. The full details on the ranking can be found here.
